From its inception in mid-2000 to today, Corporate Apparel Unlimited has rapidly gained the lead as a full-line wholesaler of sportswear, work apparel and casual wear in the ecommerce arena. Starting with just a single Web site, focusing on corporate casual wear – custom embroidered or screen printed – the company now has 13 Web sites, with a range of apparel that spans almost everything from polo shirts to jackets, fleece wear, t-shirts, sweatpants, coveralls, caps, safety clothing and more. 

Corporate Apparel Unlimited [CAU] is the newest division of Wolfe Diversified, an Anderson, Indiana based firm that includes, among other enterprises, ESC Promotions LLC - a firm specializing in school fundraising products and programs.  Corporate Apparel was acquired in early 2008 with the idea, as CEO J. Chad Wolfe puts it, of joining a strong Internet apparel firm with his fundraising products division, a combination that would broaden their reach into the national promotional products market.

The founders of CAU, Phil [Sr.] and Charla Beukema together with Phil Jr. and Brandi Beukema, had set out to achieve as close to an unlimited apparel selection as possible.  This would include apparel appropriate to a wide diversity of work settings (from office to industrial) and to a variety of school, community and sports association uses, for players and fans alike. With nearly 50 national distributors and mills to draw upon – and many more warehouse locations – CAU has been well-positioned to meet a tremendous array of apparel needs on the part of its clients. 

Not surprisingly, the company’s client base covers the spectrum: schools, soccer associations, club sports groups, colleges and universities, small/medium/large-size companies, state and municipal government agencies (and federal also), embroidery and screen printing firms, and resellers among other groups. CAU’s client roster now tops 24,000 and is growing daily, covering the entire United States and with a small client base in Canada. 

As a full-service apparel company, CAU offers a broad range of custom logo and artwork services. In affiliation with two contract imprinting firms CAU provides embroidery and screen printing to all clients wishing to decorate their garment order with their corporate or team logo. And, nearly 50 percent of CAU’s clientele request this service. 

Product is marketed through 4 corporate divisions and 13 Web sites. Specifically, the
Teamwear USA division (and Web site) emphasizes sportswear and teamwear for adults, and its counterpart Youth Sportswear USA site emphasizes "kids’ sportswear" and casuals. The Corporate Apparel Wholesale division is the largest, comprising both a mainline Web site and 6 "micro sites" – Jackets Unlimited, Denims Unlimited, Sweatshirts Unlimited, Polo Shirts Unlimited, Tees Unlimited, and Big-Tall Wholesale. Each specialty or micro-site offers more than a hundred styles on line, in its respective category. Finally, the Workwear USA division and associated Web site focuses on a broad array of work apparel – from industrial work shirts and pants to cargo shorts to coveralls, bib overalls, duck jackets, aprons, smocks, painters gear and much more.
